Sedona Lace Jumbo Fan Brush - FB 01

Hello All ~

So today I recieved my order from Sedona Lace, which I placed on Friday, so the shipping was AMAZINGLY FAST. I had ordered a few brushes, but I was the most excited to get the Jumbo Fan Brush that I have heard so many makeup mogul's raving about.

I purchased this brush at http://www.sedonalace.com/Default.aspx

This brush is priced as $12.95, and it has a five star rating.

The handle is very sturdy. Similar color and text to Sigma brushes.
The Jumbo Fan is FB 01, a Face Brush.

This brush definitely has no problems with not being dense enough. The brush itself is HUGE, and extremely soft. Yet it still is very dense and thick.

Sedona Lace recommends that you keep your brush in its plastic case when not in use, so that the brush keeps the lovely "fan" shape.
I thought I would compare it to the ELF Fan Brush. The sheer size of the Sedona Lace brush is incredible, making the ELF brush seem so tiny in comparison.
This brush is easily double or triple the size of the ELF brush.

You can see that the Sedona Lace Jumbo Fan brush is extremely dense, especially in comparison to the ELF brush.
It is a lot less flimsy, and the overall look of the brush is much more appealing, in my opinion.

I feel as though the ELF Fan brush is good for wiping away fallout from pigments and other loose eyeshadows, but the Sedona Lace brush easily has more uses to be discovered. I have not used it yet, since I just recieved it today, but I intend on using it for highlights and all over finishing powder, such as the ELF HD Powder.
I have never seen a brush quite like this one, and I can tell that I love it already.

Until Next Time <3

MAC, Sleek, Revlon, NYX, Covergirl, Clinique ~ Lips

Hello All ~

I decided to show you my little mini Lip Collection I have started.
I am trying to add to it very soon, but for now, I have these small few.
They are:
  • Revlon 002 Pink Pout
  • MAC Viva Glam Nicki
  • Sleek 771 Baby Doll
  • NYX 535A Pink Lyric
  • Clinique  Long Last Glosswear in 13 Fireberry
  • Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush in I Want Candy
  • NYX Lipliner Pencil in 840 Rose and 848 Flower
  • Covergirl Shineblast in 840 and 865

 Viva Glam Nicki
Pink Pout
Baby Doll
Pink Lyric

So the Nicki Viva Glam lipstick is a gorgeous bright tropical pink, and I feel like it has an orange-ish glow to it, rather than red or purple. It is extremely bright and noticeable, and very pigmented.
The Revlon Pink Pour is a matte finish, light pink with a purple/nude tone to it. This is great for everyday looks.
The Sleek Baby Doll is a great bright baby pink for a casual/dressy look. It is considered a "sheen" so it takes me a few coats to get the desired look, since my lips are naturally a little dark.
Pink Lyric was my first bright lipstick, and I cannot see myself wearing it. Unless I was doing some sort of 80's theme or maybe Nicki Minaj, I am personally not brave enough to face the bright hot pink color. However, it is very pigmented and would be good for those who enjoy that type of look.

NYX Lip Liner's
I picked up NYX Lipliner Pencil's in Flower and Rose.
The Rose is more of a deep pink, and Flower is a light baby pink.
I personally do not especially love these liners, as they are quite stiff, but they work for everyday quick looks.
NYX Rose (Top)
NYX Flower (Bottom)

Lastly, I have these lip glosses:
Clinique Fireberry, (2) Covergirl Shineblast, VS Beauty Rush.
The Clinique Fireberry is fantastic for the winter months, when it is easier to pull of a darker lip (in my opinion). It is very long-wearing, and it is highly pigmented. The shade is a deep pink/red and it is extremely moisturizing.
The Covergirl Shineblasts are just what the name predicts; good for creating shine. I don't find them to be very long lasting, and they don't taste phenomenal. I got them as a top coat for my lipsticks.
Victoria's Secret gives these lip glosses away with a couple of their promotions, and I love them. They aren't extremely long lasting, but they are definitely moisturizing and give off a fantastic shine. These glosses taste PHENOMENAL. They smell great too. They are relatively inexpensive, and I love them.

Hopefully more to come soon!

Sleek Pout Polish

Hello All ~

So I had ordered these two items about a week ago and I was so excited to see them in the mailbox! I have heard fantastic things about them from a few of the YouTube guru's that I subscribe to, and I wanted to try them for myself.

So here are the two Sleek Pout Polishes that I bought.

I purchased the Peach Perfection and the Powder Pink shade, as they were some light shades I could wear everyday.

By the way, as I had heard from so many people, these Tinted Lip Conditioner's smell AMAZING. Very sweet, but not too overwhelming.

This is a swatch of Peach Perfection.
This is a swatch of Powder Pink.
... And here they are together! You can see that they are true to being peach and pink, and I like that they are simple lip balms and not overwhelmingly pigmented. They go on very smoothly, and last for a while. I am happy to know that they have SPF 15, as summer is soon approaching and I want to keep my lips healthy!

Clinique, Victoria's Secret, Body Central Mini Haul

Hello!

So today I decided to go to the mall since it was such a rainy and miserable day, and I knew that doing a little shopping would help to cheer up my spirit.
Here's what I bought:

Body Central
YMI Plaid Shorts (White/Grey)
$16.90

Victoria's Secret
VS Pro Smooth FX Lip Scrub & Balm
$16.00
I have wanted this scrub for weeks! I was so sad to see that it was not available to purchase online, but when I saw it in the store today I immediately scooped it up!
Since Winter was just here, my lips have been very chapped and dry all the time, and I was only concerned with packing on more lip moisturizers. However, I started to notice that even after moisturizing there was still a lot of dead skin on my lips (gross!), so I began looking into exfoliating them. I have been using "Do It Yourself" techniques, such as brushing petroleum jelly on your lips with a toothbrush, which works fine too, but I decided to get a more sophisticated way as well.

Beach Sexy Tinted Body Lotion
$12.00
I have the self-tanning products from the Beach Sexy line as well, which work AMAZING in my opinion, so I decided to give this a try. I was looking for the after sun lotion they used to carry, but I believe this product has replaced it.
This entire line smells so phenomenal!

Rockin' Body Luminous Perfecting Cream
$12.00
I have noticed this product sitting on the shelf every time I have been to VS lately so I decided to pick it up. I was expecting it to be like a firming lotion, but it looks almost like a tinted moisturizer to me. It blends in easily and has some shimmer to it. It smells nice, but not like the Beach Sexy products. I will have to do some more testing of this product until I can give a good review.

Clinique

Ok, so technically the two moisturizers, the lip duo, and the palette are from a couple weeks ago when I got the free gift with purchase, but I wanted to include them anyways.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Moisture Surge
Different Lipstick/Long Last Glosswear SPF 15
  • Lipstick: #33 Raspberry Glace
  • Gloss: #13 Fireberry
Color Surge Eye Shadow Trio
  • (2) Single Shades from Strawberry Fudge Duo
  • Slate
Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher
  • New Clover

Here is a swatch of the lip duo, with the lipstick (Raspberry Glace) on the left, and the gloss (Fireberry) on the right.

I have a bunch of the Fireberry glosses, since they have included them in their free gift quite often lately. I use them occassionally, and I do enjoy the color as far as darker shades go. It is long lasting and very pretty as well. I usually use it for winter.

Also, I personally prefer the Moisture Surge over the Dramatically Different moisturizing lotion, which is strange because I have been using the Dramatically Different for years and loving it. The Moisture Surge goes on more like a gel, and it dries quickly and smoothly. I really do like it, and I wish it had some SPF coverage.

Quickliner for Eyes Intense
  • 01- Intense Black
  • 07- Intense Ivy
$15.00 Each

Here is a swatch of the two eyeliners, with Intense Black on the top, and Intense Ivy on the bottom.

Since I have green eyes, I like to get green eyeliners, and this one was so beautiful. It has a lot of shimmer in it, and its very deep and rich. I also really love the black because I like my eyeliners to be very dark.

I have swatched this eyeliner a few times now, and worn it once and I am here to say that it is AMAZING. I can rub the swatches to pieces, and they DO NOT BUDGE. I even washed it with water and it was still there, without any fading done. It it incredible. It comes off easily with my makeup remover, but unless I want it to come off, it's there to stay.

Thats all for the mall trip today!
Thanks for reading <3

Colin Stuart - Victoria's Secret Shoes

Hello All <3

So since the weather has been getting nicer, I have been able to shed the sneakers and boots for some more attractive warm weather shoes. I recently purchased some new shoes from the Victoria's Secret website, which I love since a lot of their shoes come in my size (11), that usually seems so hard to find.

Scarf-Tie Wedge Sandal
$78
5 1/4" wedge with 1" platform.

I love these so much! I am 5'11, so people try to get me to stay away from heels as much as possible, but these wedges were too cute to pass up.They are a higher wedge, so it gives me lots of extra height. I plan on wearing these with white shorts, since if I wear them with long pants I fear they will make my pants look flood-ish/ high-water.
I purchased these in "multicolor print with terylene"

Fringe Gladiator Sandal
$98
Suede

I actually got these for Christmas, but it has been much too cold to wear them until this past week. I love the super boho look that these give, and since they are flats, I don't have to worry about feeling giraffe-ish. I like wearing these with shorts and flowy boho blouses.
I purchased these in "tobacco".

I will be updating this post soon, as I purchased 2 other pairs of shoes that I am waiting to be delivered.

If you have gotten any shoes from Victoria's Secret that you love, let me know! I'd love to check it out <3

Drugstore Mascara's

Hello all

This is going to be a little blurb/review on my favorite mascara's, which can be purchased at any drugstore.

  • Voluminous Million Lashes
    •  L'Oreal
    •
  • The Colossal Volum' Express
    • Maybelline
    •
  • The Falsies Flared Volum' Express
    • Maybelline
    •
  • Lash Blast Volume
    • Covergirl

Voluminous Million Lashes

This mascara is currently my number one favorite. I have it in the blackest/darkest available shade, and I use it almost every day. It gets all the lashes, and I feel as though it does a fantastic job of giving me an appropriate length with a really nice, full volume. The packaging is really sleek and simple, but still classy, and I love the fact that the top clicks onto the bottom to lock it into place. It lasts all day, and never leaves any of that black residue under my lower lashline. One of my favorite things about this mascara is the smell! It smells like freshly picked honeysuckle and orchids, which is so delightful. All in all, I give this mascara 5 stars.

The Colossal Volum' Express

This is my second most used mascara, but I definitely still love it. This seems to give me a lot more length than I had originally thought it would, and the volume is really good. It doesn't seem to get all of my lashes evenly though, and it takes a while to get all of them evenly. It lasts all day, and I have minimal (a small amount) black residue under my eyes by the end of the day. I have the Classic Black shade, which is the darkest black. Again, the overall smell of this mascara is phenomenal, as it has a similar honeysuckle smell to it like the Voluminous Million Lashes. My least favorite thing about this is the wand, which I wish was more similar to the L'Oreal one above. I love the bright yellow packaging which is super cute and a good statement piece, and it makes it very easy to find in my big purse!

The Falsies Flared

I really enjoy this mascara, and I am really unsure why I do not use it more often. I have this mascara in Very Black. I originally purchased this mascara because it was creating a big buzz in the makeup world and had gotten a lot of media attention via television and internet. I do like this mascara a lot, which was surprising because I am not a fan of the spoon shaped wand usually. It does get all of my lashes nicely in about 2 coats, and if I change up the positioning of the brush, it can create a nice "flared" effect. It does leave a little bit of residue after a while, but all in all I do like this product. The purple packaging with the wings is really fun and edgy.

Lash Blast Volume

The Covergirl Lashblast was the first mascara I used almost every day, but truth be told I don't find myself using it anymore. I only really use it when I have misplaced or run out of my other ones, and it is because of the residue that it creates after wearing it for a few hours. I have Very Black shade, and I feel as though it does do a good job creating volume like it should. It really doesn't do much for length, which is not a surprise to me. The fallout I get from wearing it for a bit is the worst thing to me about this mascara. I have dark circles under my eyes to begin with, and days where I don't wear concealer and foundation, I don't want to draw any more attention to my darkness my having black smudges and dust below my lower lashline. I have retired this mascara as I have gotten older, but I do still feel as though it is a good mascara for those who are just starting to wear makeup to experiment with.

If you've used any of these products, or if you have different choices for mascaras that you love, I would love to hear from you! <3
